In the period 01.01.-31.08.2010, the Directorate for Security of Classified Information issued a total of 3052 personnel security clearance certificates to persons employed at the state organs and institutions, of which national – 2560, NATO – 343 and EU – 149.

Furthermore, in the same period the Directorate received a total of 1888 NATO classified and unclassified documents and 180 EU classified and documents.

On March 30, 2010 the Day of the Tree was celebrated at the Directorate by planting six seedlings. Furthermore, action for putting the yard of the Directorate in order was carried out and it included mowing of the grass on a surface of more than 1000 square meters, cleaning and renewing the flowerpots with seasonal flowers.

The joint simulation NATO exercise – CMX 2009, in which the Directorate for Security of Classified Information took active participation with its representatives employed at the Mission of the Republic of Macedonia to NATO in Brussels and at the Directorate in Skopje, who were connected to the exercise HQ located at the Crisis Management Centre, finished today.
The assessment on the effects of the exercise and the preparedness of the participants will be stated at the meeting to be held today in the afternoon at the NATO HQ in Brussels, after which it will be announced officially to all the participants in the exercise.

ВIn the period from 04 to 10 March 2010, the Directorate for Security of Classified Information, within its legal competencies, will participate in the joint simulation NATO exercise – CMX 2009, led by the Crisis Management Center. Around one hundred representatives of the institutions of the Republic of Macedonia, designated by the Decision of the Government, will participate in the exercise in the area of the crisis management.

The day of the International Council of Military Sports was celebrated on 18 February 2010 in the organization of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia.

Upon the invitation of the commander of the “Goce Delchev” Barracks, with aim to promote the health and physical activity of the employees of the institutions located in the barracks, representatives of the Directorate took part in the futsal tournament with a team of 10 players and in the table tennis tournament with 2 players. In the competition of table tennis doubles, the team of the Directorate won the third place.

The new redesigned web-page of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information was officially published on December 30, 2009. The two-month project was carried out by IT expert team from the Directorate.

In 2009, the Directorate for Security of Classified Information issued a total of 4829 personnel security clearance certificates to persons employed at the state organs and institutions, of which national – 3443; NATO – 795 and EU – 591.

The Directorate also issued 1 access permit to a foreign national for access to the Macedonian classified information.

Furthermore, in 2009 the Directorate issued 346 national personnel security clearance certificates and 3 NATO security clearance certificates related to the industrial security of classified information.

In 2008, the Directorate for Security of Classified Information issued a total of 4868 personnel security clearance certificates to persons employed at the state organs and institutions, of which national – 3144; NATO – 928 and EU – 796. The Directorate also issued 17 access permits to 37 foreign nationals for access to the Macedonian classified information.

Furthermore, in 2008 the Directorate issued 300 personnel national security clearance certificates related to the industrial security of classified information.

In cooperation with “GORD Systems” – Skopje, in December 2008 a software for recording the issued personnel security clearance certificates and access permits for classified information – national, EU and NATO was developed, and it was implemented in the Department for Security of Natural Persons and Legal Entities at the Directorate for Security of Classified Information (DSCI). The testing period will last from January to March 2009.

After the full implementation of the software, the next phases will follow for its application in the DSCI Central Registry and the registries for classified information at the ministries and other state organs which will enable their networking.
