Seminars and Trainings

Ohrid, June 2008

In June 2008 in Ohrid, the Directorate for Security of Classified Information held a seminar on the “Experiences and challenges in collecting and protection of classified intelligence and conducting vetting procedures” which was attended by the highest executive and authorized persons of the state organs that handle classified information and intelligence. Upon an invitation of the Directorate, the NATO Office of Security Director and experts from Brussels participated in the seminar.

Skopje, March 2008

In March 2008, the Directorate for Security of Classified Information conducted a control visit to the courts and the prosecution offices of the Republic of Macedonia in order to inspect the conditions for handling classified information, as well as to conduct a short training for the personnel of the Prime Court Skopje – Skopje 1 for handling classified information. Furthermore, the Directorate organized training for the judges and court administratives. Particular attention and priority was given to the training of the public prosecutors for organized crime.
In the activities related to the prosecution offices, the Directorate was involved in the “twinning” project with Italian experts for networking in a common database of all investigation authorities.

Skopje, December 2007

• On October 1, 2007 in Skopje a seminar was held with the Security Officers at the ministries and the other state organs and other legal entities for familiarization with the amendments and supplements to the Law on Classified Information.
• On October 10, 2007 in Skopje a seminar was held on the Administrative Security of Classified Information.
• On November 20, 2007 in Skopje a seminar was held on the Information Security of Classified Information.
• On December 21, 2007 in Skopje a seminar was held on the Industrial Security of Classified Information.
