Generals, Flag Officers and Ambassadors’ Course (GFOAC)

A representative of the Directorate took part in the Generals, Flag Officers and Ambassadors’ Course (GFOAC) that was held on 07-16 November 2016 in organization by the NATO Defence College in Rome, Italy. The first part of the training was accomplished at the College, while the second part included a study trip to Brussels. The aim of the course was to enhance mutual understanding of security concerns and of NATO's interests and capabilities among Generals and Flag Officers and high-ranking civilians including ambassadors from NATO, PfP, Med Dialogue, ICI, Contact Countries and Iraq.
Integrated Partner Orientation Course (IPOC)

A representative of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information took part in the Integrated Partner Orientation Course (IPOC) that took place in the period from 17 to 21 October 2015 at the NATO College in Rome, Italy. The emphasis of the training was put on the advancing the knowledge of the participants about NATO, its role and priorities, its internal structure and organization, its missions, as well as on its external affairs with the partner countries and the international organizations. The discussions also tackled the ways each of these elements is developed as a result of the changes and the new challenges in the international security environment.

A representative of the Directorate for Security of Classified information attended the 10th CSDP Training Programme for SAP Partners 2016, organized under the auspices of the TAIEX instrument of the European Commission. The three-modular training programme, supported by the European Security and Defence College, had an overall objective to provide training to representatives from the Western Balkans’ state institutions in the area of the European Security and Defence Policy. By nominating experienced representatives for this specific comprehensive training programme, the Directorate continues to build its institutional human resources capacities and remains fully committed to creating professional state servants with high level of knowledge of CFSP/CSDP issues.
Participation in EU integration training series (Twinning Project MK 10 IPA OT 02 04)

Within the Twinning Project MK 10 IPA OT 02 04 “Further Strengthening of the Organizational and Institutional Capacities for the EU Integration Process”, representatives of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information participated in a training series related to the EU integration. According to the Secretariat of European Affairs’ plan and organization, the training series was carried out by experts coming from Croatia, Poland and Germany, as well as from the Secretariat of European Affairs and the Legislative Secretariat from Macedonia.
Sixth Conference of the National Security Authorities of the South East European Countries (SEENSA)

The Sixth Conference of the South East European National Security Authorities (SEENSA) took place on 29 September 2016 in Podgorica, Republic of Montenegro. The conference that was co-chaired by the RCC Secretary General, Mr. Goran Svilanovic, was attended by delegations of the National Security Authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of Bulgaria, Republic of Croatia, Kosovo, Republic of Macedonia, Republic of Moldova, Republic of Montenegro, Romania, Republic of Slovenia and Republic of Serbia.
TAIEX Study Visit to the National Security Authority of the Italian Republic

In the period from 27-29 September 2016 three representatives of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information accomplished a study visit to the National Security Authority of the Italian Republic. The visit was supported by the European Commission TAIEX instrument. The aim of the study visit was to exchange experiences and obtain new knowledge related to physical security of classified information and security accreditation of the communication and information systems processing classified information.
TAIEX Study Visit to the National Security Authority of the Republic of Estonia

In the period from 23-25 August 2016, with the support of the European Commission TAIEX instrument, a study visit to the National Security Authority of the Republic of Estonia was accomplished by three representatives of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information. The aim of the study visit was to exchange experiences and obtain new knowledge related to cyber security, with an emphasis on the legal framework, the model of practical regional and international cooperation, as well as on the lessons learned and the applicable solutions for handling of emerging challenges.
Agreement with Romania

The Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Macedonia and the Government of Romania on Mutual Protection of Classified Information was signed on August 4, 2016 in Bucharest, Romania.
On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, the Agreement was signed by Mr. Aleksandar Nacev, Ph.D., Director of the Directorate for Security of Classified Information, and on behalf of the Government of Romania, the Agreement was signed by Mr. Marius Petrescu, PhD, Director General of the National Registry Office for Classified Information. The signing ceremony of the agreement was also attended by Mr. Pande Lazarevski, Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to Romania.
During the meeting, the focus of the discussions was put on the existing bilateral relations between the two countries and on the new possibilities for cooperation in more sensitive areas provided by the signed agreement.
TAIEX Expert Mission in Cooperation with the NSA of the Republic of Slovenia

In the period from 14 to 16 June 2016, representatives of the Government Office for the Protection of Classified Information (NSA) of the Republic of Slovenia visited Skopje in an expert mission, supported by the TAIEX instrument of the European Commission.
The aim of the expert mission was passing on the Slovenian knowledge and lessons learnt from the field of the industrial security, obtained in the framework of the EU and NATO membership, and exchange of the experiences of the both countries related to the vetting procedures of the legal entities, issuing Facility Security Clearances to companies participating in classified tenders, security awareness activities, as well as to other industrial security related issues. Throughout the working sessions discussions were led on case studies and possible solutions to the challenges that both countries face concerning the current regulations, security procedures and inspection supervision related to the industrial security of classified information.
Agreement with the Italian Republic

The Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Macedonia and the Government of the Italian Republic on Exchange and Mutual Protection of Classified Information was signed on May 27, 2016 in Skopje.
On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, the Agreement was signed by the Minister of foreign Affairs, Mr. Nikola Poposk, and on behalf of the Government of the Italian Republic, the Agreement was signed by H.E. Mr. Ernesto Masimino Beleli. At the meeting, the bilateral relations between the two countries were assessed to be a reflection of mutual respect and friendship and it was acknowledged that the relations between Macedonia and Italy have been continually developing in the past two decades.
